POOL SAFETY COUNCIL WALL OF SHAME

The Pool Safety Council “Wall of Shame” was created for pools that have not installed life-saving, mandatory safety equipment.

The Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act requires all single drain public pools to install an anti-entrapment device like a safety vacuum release system, while all public pools also need approved safety drain covers regardless of the number of drains it has.

Please include the names of pools and as many specific details as possible. The Pool Safety Council will then attempt to verify non-compliant status and maintain a list of the pools on our Web site in hopes of bringing attention to this life-saving law.  We hope this public “shaming” will make sure another life is not needlessly lost.
